Coordinated Disregard is a group exhibition of mixed media abstract works by artists from across the nation. The balance between structure and chance are crucial in any creative process. This exhibition aims to celebrate works that operate within the studio practice of intuition and the creative discoveries that are harnessed to appear organized. Through color, repetition, pattern, and texture the works present a unified vision, despite the range in medium and thematic agenda. These formal elements combine to anchor the struggle between decorative and minimal yearnings, and how they manifest through the plan to work and freedom to create. The history of painting, craft, and politics are all addressed individually but delivered through the lens of a common visual lure.
